【摘要】:ThisRecommendation|InternationalStandarddefinesinanabstractwaytheexternallyvisibleserviceprovidedbytheTransportLayerintermsof:a)theprimitiveactionsandeventsoftheservice;b)theparameterdataassociatedwitheachprimitiveactionandevent;c)therelationshipbetween,andthevalidsequencesof,theseactionsandevents.TheservicedefinedinthisRecommendation|InternationalStandardisthatwhichisprovidedbytheEnhancedCommunicationsTransportProtocol(inconjunctionwiththeNetworkService)andwhichmaybeusedbyanyapplicationprotocol.Theservicecanalsobeprovidedbyotherprotocolspossiblyeachsupportingasubsetoftheservicesdefinedherein.TheprimitivesspecifiedinthisRecommendation|InternationalStandardsupportaconnection-modeserviceandaconnectionlessservice.Insomecasesofconnectionless-modeservicesupportingenhancedcommunications,certainoperationsmayalsobenecessarypriortothecommencementofdatatransfer,e.g.agreementonqualityofservice.Forthedatatransferphaseofeitherconnection-modeorconnectionless-modeservices,theremaybearangeofdata-orderingcharacteristics.NoimplicationismadeinthisRecommendation|InternationalStandardregardingtheinclusionorexclusionofanyoftheabovecharacteristicsgiventheserviceprimitivesspecifiedherein.
